Governance of DALICE
Council of churches in Zambia is responsible for the governance, control and administration whereas the government is responsible for staffing. the principal is appointed by CCZ and approved by the government
David Livingstone College of Education (DALICE) is a Grant Aided Institution that belongs to the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ). The College offers Junior Secondary School Teaching (Secondary Diploma – 3 Years).
Diploma by Extension Studies (DES) is one of the programs offered at DAILCE. I was introduced in January, 2014 in response to the Ministry of Education’s appeal for increased training for secondary teachers in order to meet the projected shortfall. DALICE introduced a self-sustaining Diploma by Extension Studies teachers training program targeting school leavers who are currently left out of its existing training programs due to limited boarding spaces and the current admission to teacher training is also limited to government funding.
